I was verbally approved for funding by a broker who later pulled the offer after asking inappropriate and irrelevant personal questions—like “What would happen if you didn’t pay for marketing?” (Spoiler: no business survives without marketing. That’s not due diligence—that’s judgmental and ignorant.)
After I was told the deal was solid, I adjusted my plans, only to be ghosted and told I wasn’t fundable due to “uncollateralized risk.” Don’t mislead small business owners into thinking they’re approved, only to bait-and-switch once you get personal details.
This experience wasted my time, disrupted my business planning, and exposed a serious lack of professionalism and transparency. If you’re looking for funding that respects your time, your intelligence, and your business—look elsewhere.Monday 9th June 2025
